    Well, that's what I'm saying.

    Who cares if a guitar is actually louder if it can be perceived louder in an ensemble.

    It's why nobody plays a Martin Dred in a big band.

    How about the core sizes? I think I'll stick with the tension observation but agree it iprobably is the frequency, if a guitar cuts through the ensemble you'll hear it.

    a "myth" is not undone by one solitary test!!...i don't buy it...anyone who's ever put electric strings on a flatop, could tell you that...the reason why acoustic guitars always come with bronze 80/20's or bronze phosphors...bell like materials!!


    the distance the sound travels is also another volume issue..as is the range in volume level..not just the highest spl at one fixed distance

    love thom flats and 80/20's, but not interchangeably
