Pretty cool. The sound reminds me a little bit of some of the old Japanese hollowbodies from the 60's that typically had single coils.

1. I didn't hear any major difference when you played the G or D strings. The tone seemed balanced to me.
2. The notes sounded thick, even in the high register. I love that. I can't stand a tinny or plinky sound on the high strings.
3. No hint of feedback -- even in terms of low notes booming just a little. I'm guessing that it will feedback if you make it louder, but maybe the single coil pickup will help with that to some extent.
It reminded me of the sound the old D'Armond rhythm chief pickup. I could be imagining that, but it's a great sound. The D'a was also a single coil.

p1p,
Sounds good!
I've a strong single-coil bias & had wondered 'bout this so thanks for the whole deal.

Sounds great, and seems a good alternative to all those "humbucker sized". Congrats!
