That looks awesome man, can't beat a WesMo! The Wine looks fantastic and it screams "Yeah, I bought a signature guitar but I walk my own walk!" It says "I prefer the simplicity of a single pickup and louder acoustic properties, like Wes; however, I am my own man!" Congrats!
Oh and remember, it is always easy to roll brightness off but it is much harder to add it when absent, electronically at lease!! Enjoy!!

Yes the wine is not only a beautiful color, it also accentuates the symbol of the seashell glass of wine on the head of the guitar. I have often seen a pianist drinking whisky and increasing his inspiration this way. Personnally, i increase my inspiration a lot with red wine, playing jazz guitar in the evening sometimes
. There's something magic in the combination jazz guitar/red wine, that must have been noticed, according to me, by Wes Montgomery at least, maybe among others.
My guitar will come from the Music Zoo, NYC, it is the one that is in the picture here.
It's color named "Sunset Glow".
I have chosen it, instead of the red wine one, because i already have a red guitar (the Ibanez GB15), and because i find in this Gibson a similar color as the one of the Ibanez GB100 that is missing in my collection, as much as a similar shape as the one of the Ibanez GB5, missing also in my collection, and as much as a similar finish as the one of the Ibanez GBY2K, missing too
. It's a way to balance the lackness. But not only:
I also have noticed that i already have in the LGB300VYS one of the three other traditional colors of an L5 Wes, in the GB30BK the black, and in my GB20 the natural color
. Knowing that i want my collection to include more various colors and models, This sunset glow for me was the best choice. And it is confirmed, strangely, in the symbol of the sun itself, around which our planet Earth needs 365 days for a revolution: if you add the 300, the 15, the 30 and the 20 that are corresponding to the models wearing about the same colors as a traditional L5 Wes does, you obtain...: 365!
The very big synthesis.
Sorry for speaking so much about my next guitar
.
And thanks for your congrats and wishes!
You're so right, man about brightness... It also confirms my choice.

She's an absolute beauty. If money were no object I'd have bought that one too!

Oh 2B how i am honoured!
Thank you so much! I sincerely think that the beauty of both are equal.
I'm very touched by your compliment.
I won't miss to tell you more when it will arrive. It will take time because i have to avoid the custom fees (more than 400 euros when i receive the guitar!). It will be a pleasure to discuss about it and to share.
It is so nice to chat here compared with my colleagues or even friends
, who tend to think that i'm crazy with my guitars.
So much positive vibes here!
Very good moments. So cool...Last edited by Tcharlze; 08-29-2016 at 04:32 PM.

Charles~Sunset Glow is a custom color developed by Gibson Custom Shop back in 2003 specifically for the Johnny A. Signature guitar.

I've never seen that shade on a full sized archtop!! It is stunning on that L5 Wes Mo! Wow!

Nice one! You know I never got to where mine felt like "the one," but when ever I think about parting with it I have to get it out and play it and then think again. (It's also a Hutchins.) I hope you enjoy yours!

Yes, absolutely, it'not the norm. A "normal" L5 would have hardly brought the to me solution, filling all my points of demand! It's my missing L5 guitar, but the missing L5 might be different according to each of us!

Thank you so much, Tim, for the informations and the link, that learns me about the production period. I'm happy to read enthusiastic reactions in front of this exclusive rarity, and could imagine that the folks who will see it in my hands will like the look, and wonder if it's an L5...
