Worked real well. Very transparent sound. I stuck it on the guitar with poster putty and it stayed for the entire gig(s). I am trying to find a way to attach a clip so I can stop using the putty.
Thanks! I might this a go. I'm thinking a mag pickup mixed in with my K&K piezo might give a good sound.

    Lots of wiring though.

Well I was playing Gypsy Jazz on my newly acquired Gibson 175 the other day, and everyone seemed really into the guitar sound... I suppose the guitar is just a tool...

I use this pickup on my National reso when i have to plug in , great sound! It' s my most gigging guitar right now, with the amount of acoustic gigs i have to do... In terms of volume, there is no competition really.

I have an inexpensive saga/gitane D-hole that's just a wonderful guitar, lively responsive, even tone. It's great for fingerstyle jazz--in fact I modified it by removing the little fretboard extension. It sits sort of between an archtop and a classical in tone.

Django obviously was great but the idea that selmer style instruments can only play django style is dead wrong. it's an extremely interesting design with a lot of possibilities. I played bass and sometimes guitar for years in Gypsy jazz bands and I know the selmer style, both high end and low end, extremely well
