This thread should be permanently at the top of the guitars, amps and gizmos section. Anytime someone on this forum needs to know how a proper jazz guitar should sound (and be played), all they need to do is listen to Joe D and his DA.

I really love everything about this Guitar. The Playability is shockingly good. The sound is, well, you be the judge.

    Very nice Joe,
Emraceable You , sounds to me like a Jack Wilkins
arrangement, if I'm not very much mistaken.?

Alan, iim7 got it right. Barry laid it out nice, using unique yet normal voicings.

    Joe,
I've said it before - you and this guitar are a perfect
match. You let the songs breath -which helps bring out the beautiful tone of this instrument.

D'Angelico's have this magical throaty bass and clarity in the mid range that stirs the soul and inspires the best from us.

Thank you for posting these videos and showcasing your beautiful playing on a masterpiece of history.

and I've said a it before and I'll say it again.
You guys make playing jazz guitar more of a privilege than it already is. Steve, I am blessed to know you. You are in the the group of the classiest individuals I've ever met.
I am so lucky to have been blessed with such a fine guitar and the patience it takes to learn how to play it. Playing it is a life accomplishment. There's only a couple of things left, like riding a unicorn and following a leprechaun to a pot of treasure.
    Thanks bro. Joe D

What a lovely guitar that DA is.

Yeah me too. When you see someone of such high esteem call you back out for an encore like our Greentone did, you feel like it's really something special.
I wake up to this and My son made pancakes that I had to endure (shhhh, don't say anything. He put sprinkles in them), so I had a priceless morning.
i love you guys. Thanks for making my day.
