Glad you liked it Born2 bop. Hopefully it gives a fair idea of the acoustic tones, although micing it into a recorder would be far superior. I will do that when I can.

Good ear! Yes, its the stock round wounds. I will probably switch to flats at some point, but I am going to be practicing a lot with this guitar acoustically, so the rounds are really the better choice. Here are two pictures of it. Not bad flame for a Gibson.

Nice guitar. Thanks for posting the clip. The guitar is very pretty. Beautiful woods.

Strings seem skinny--that's the way Gibson (and everybody else, these days) strings 'em up at the factory. Me...I'd put on .12-.50 and replace the first two with .13 and .17, if it were mine. That doesn't overdo things, but gives some heft to the proceedings.

Not me, I'd fatten it with TI bebop round 14's

That sounds nice! Surpassingly full sound for thin strings and the small body.
That seems to be a super nice looking great sounding guitar - enjoy!

Thanks for posting the clip, Tag101. It has dense warm focussed "balls" of singing tones. It is double expresso to regular coffee.

Wonderful sounding guitar. It does its own thing. That said, TMZ has sold quite a few archtops recently to members of this forum, strictly by word of mouth.
