That's damn clever! I just might have to give that a try. Thanks for the link, Jabber.

Stunning guitar really. floater's fine, can't understand the bridge p.u though, cancels the whole thing out. "jack of all trades master of none"!..I think we need a demo before we pass judgement!....L..

I agree regarding the millennium, better execution and functionality. I love em.... Fancy Headstock too

Of course I usually love f-holes (actually I prefer S-holes which look a bit more modern and unfussy), but I think they look wrong on that one. Chambered LP's are already quite light. Around 7.5 lbs. Still, I'd love to plug one into an amp and do a comparison.

maybe glued? urrg...

Not sure what or where Gibson was going with this latest Supreme.

I'm still digging my original issue, especially after dropping in a set of Seth Lovers in it! Sweet tones!
-
I think that Supreme looks incredible!
-
Dude...the government sent back the ebony it confiscated from Gibson!

Yes, but how big a deal should Gibson make about it? They already sh*t the bed in Gov't Tan:

I play big band jazz mainly, so my acoustic archtop gets the most use along with a Collings SoCo.
This new Supreme has some features that may be nice, but I much prefer the older headstock inlay with its beautiful globe (MOP and brass). Other posts on the guitar state: has the woodiness of a 335 type. I concur, as I have one of those as well. I like the Jescar EVO fretwire on mine.

Hey CapnRoy~ My Supreme was my very first LP also! Been playing since the mid-60's too. I bought mine brand new and waited and waited for Gibson to ramp up production of the first run. Seemed like forever. But this is my go to the grave guitar...and I have um, a few others.

In the end, musicians will decide if the new Supreme 'jazz hybrid' or whatever, is going to make it or not. Gibson has been known to cease production of their non-sellers...only to have collectors jump on an even more "limited run" model. Crazy world.

Can't get over that bridge humbucker. Heritage should make one sans offending pickup and at half the price, then it would be very cool.
-
I like this "Lou Pallo" model....
