    At most of the Jam sessions I've attended over the years, the guitar has terrible tone, because we just plug into the amp and play the tune(s), then get off, no time for EQing the amp to match your guitar's characteristics.

    I hate Joe Pass tone on his instructional videos.
    Wayne Krantz is a good player but his tone is horrible.

    The one JP video I saw he played an Ibanez I think, and yeah it was dry.

    I guess I'd correct that to IMO he had "no" tone I could listen to for long. BB never did anything for me.
