Gibson ES-175 reissue arrived "early"

Name the dealer here!!!! It would be a shame if someone went/ordered from the same dealer and got a poor instrument.

I feel for you. Good on you for taken the neccessary steps to get some satisfaction.

There is someone on this forum that claims to be a "friend" of the shop owner. He has reviewed Peerless guitars that he got from a shop that is local to him. His location is mentioned. If you can't put the keywords into Google and come up with a high end guitar store. I think what's more worrying is Gibson hasn't replied to my emails. Draw your own conclusions, I would have thought they would be very quick off the mark to confirm that the guitar was fake.....

I would think Gibson would care a whole lot more about a NEW guitar being sold by one of their DEALERS to a customer... than a used thing being peddled by a private seller. After all, the former is their actual bread and butter business, while the latter is one aspect of their competition!

I'm not sure if the OP is actually making phone calls, paying personal visits, or sending emails. If this were me, I'd be making a lot of very personal and politely confrontational noise about it. There are times where it's pleasant to keep things quietly civil, and this is not one of them.
