Yes, I could remove it with my parametric but not with the Henriksen's eq.

Is that the Fromel EQ or another one?
-
A custom parametric... made by a friend. Based on the BYOC one with some mods.
The bass control of the Fromel will take care of it though (the 150hz spike, which is the most relevant).

Their spec list doesn't include their speakers' sensitivities. Kinda important.

I haven't gigged w/ just the Tornado yet, but it sure makes for a nice light weight ext.cab. And w/ both speakers it sounds great! I'm thinking of trying a Warehouse Guitar Speaker ET90 in the Quilter to replace the Celestion Lead 80. I already have a WGS ET90 in my Mesa/Boogie Nomad 55 1x12" combo and love it! But the downside is it weighs as much as the Celestion, bummer

i'm thinking of trying a deltalite II in mine.

I'm putting it in a Dr. Z Z28 1x12 combo that I run clean.

Hmm ... !

Is that because the speaker does not have enough wattage ?

It seems that the price you have to pay if you want a guitar speaker with enough wattage is to increase the weight.
I looked at some Eminence guitar speakers
The Tonker 150 Watts
Net Weight 11.1 lbs, 5.03 kg Shipping Weight 13.2 lbs, 5.99 kgs
The Commonwealth 225 Watts
Net Weight 21.5 lbs, 9.75 kg Shipping Weight 23.2 lbs, 10.52 kgs
Legend EM12 200 Watt
Net Weight 16.3 lbs, 7.39 kg Shipping Weight 18 lbs, 8.16 kgs

how is it different? Looks like the same cone and motor.

When you push those speakers the cone actually distorts. This may sound good for certain classic rock applications (neil young??) but probably not for Pat Martino

Excuse my ignorance but what is that great sound?
Where can you find that JBL K120-8 speaker?

How about this Eminence 12" http://www.eminence.com/speakers/spe...ltaliteII_2512

Them specs look good! Lightweight magnet, flat response up to almost 5KHz, 225W, low resonance, efficient - 100dB. What's not to like? I just needs a catchier name.

The dust cap is different, which is plainly clear in the pix.

If you want to pick nits, call Telonics and ask them how their speakers are different from the Eminence.
Report back your findings immediately if not sooner, so as to not damage your reputation as an internet know-it-all, that's never wrong.
You pulled the same kind of crap over on TGP for years, now we are graced with it here.
I'm sure everyone is thrilled!!!Last edited by Cobra; 02-27-2014 at 04:47 PM.

funny, that's exactly what the Eminence EPS-12 speaker is supposed to do. I have a feeling it's just the same speaker with a different label. Is it actually available in 8 ohm? That was the claim here but the telsonics website says 4 ohm only.

Swapping out a dust cover does not constitute a significant design change IMO...

What changes did they supposedly make?

I am but a humble participant in this forum and yes, I know, I should shut up and leave such things to our mod's. But really.. that was over the top. I think it's generally expected by both the cognoscenti and noobs, that everyone to be civil around here. Terse is one thing.. getting in someone's face because of some history you may have with them is another. Can we just talk about speakers without the personal attacks?

Odd.. I thought ignoring someone could be done silently without foot stomping or tantrums. Feel free to add me to that ignore list too there chief.. and please find another outlet when you feel compelled to act out.

Now then.. I've been looking for something lighter and cheaper than an EV to put in a Rivera Fender Concert for a higher fidelity, clean sound. Not seeing it in this thread yet. Maybe it doesn't exist?Last edited by Spook410; 02-27-2014 at 05:57 PM.
