What year is your Broadway again? I'm surprised the Fralins aren't a night and day difference like the Pures in my Emperor and the 57 Classic in the Zephyr. As soon as I plugged in this blonde MIK Broadway I got for my friend I thought "yeah, these pickups are also terrible."

It's a 2023 and they have new Alnico Pro pickups. I have read they were much improved. Although now that I have spent more time with the new pickups and have tweaked the amp and tone controls, I can notice a more substantial improvement, but probably not as much as you experienced. Beautiful guitar!

Now you need to find yourself an L5 style pickguard to complete the transformation.

Just in case someone else caught the fever there's a really sweet Peerless made '97 on reverb right now in London for $670. All youd have to do is put some better pickups. I really like '57 classics in these. I dont think they sound so much like an L5 but more like a really nice Tal. Peerless was the Terada of Korea.

I had a Peerless Gigmaster Jazz a while ago and it was a very nice guitar.
