Hi everyone, new member here and I guess there isn’t a better way to introduce oneself than talking about gear?!
This Sadowsky Jimmy Bruno arrived earlier this year. Roger was a pleasure to deal with and the guitar is a dream.
Just a quick example (for another forum) of creating tension using pentatonics over a blues. Much prefer using an amp… but it was recorded direct with a Two Notes Celestion Ruby 2x12 IR.

Welcome aboard! Sounds good looks good. Nice playing!

I thought the JB model had dot inlays. The JH does not. Did they change?
-
Congrats. Looks and sounds fabulous.

@BradGuitar~Welcome to the JGF!
Beautiful Sadowsky and sweet playing-singing too.
Is the beautiful headstock overlay and tailpiece Macassar Ebony?

Now that's what I call effortless playing. Beautiful guitar too!

Welcome to the forum and the Sadowsky club!
They make nice avatars by the way, lol.

I think they used to, but after being brought back from being discontinued for a while, they made some aesthetic changes, namely no inlays and spayed binding to name a couple.

Oh, yeah, welcome to JGF. Great introduction.

Welcome! I use a 2005 Bruno. It feels just perfect for me. I guess in two years it will be considered a classic. (20 yrs?)
-
Nice! Yeah, if someone was to ask my ideal specs, then the JB is pretty much exactly what I’d ask for.

I also like that the JB model has a mahogany neck instead of maple. I really think it feels more resonant.

I dare say, I think I slightly prefer having the visible binding around the body on the older models such as yours… I am a sucker for binding to be honest.
Have you covered over the inlays there?
Oh, and completely agree about the mahogany neck. There is a warmth that shines through, kinda softens the edges for me without the need to eq that in and never quite seems to work anyway…

Another plus for the JB model, there's an extra neck fret. 15 instead of 14.

Black pearl inlay stick-ons over the white cat's eyes.
