Not sure how I missed knowing about the Sadowsky LS15 when it was available. Seems it’s now discontinued so perhaps didn’t get much love. Appears to be the similar to the Bruno model (but thinner) or new Vignola models but with 25 1/2 scale. Nut is 1 3/4.

I did find this thread here with some info... Sadowsky LS-15
(I totally typo'd my initial post writing "LS-17" and others had replied, so just starting a fresh thread on the LS15)

I love everything about the design (except maybe the ebony board) and Sadowsky quality is superb.
-
I tend to prefer 25 1/2in scale and smaller body size, which makes he LS15 intriguing.
-
The ones that are unavailable are often the most alluring.

So true.

I don't think the LS-15 is discontinued in Japan. Take a look at these newly listed ones: sadowsky ls15???????????????? . The kanji within the little yellow box say "NEW Product".
But note that Roger Sadowsky won't provide any service on Sadowsky branded archtop guitars when they are bought from Japan.
Note the export price sales tax free price of JPY520000 = USD3575.80 NEW.

I have a semi-hollow 15 LS. It’s a great guitar, but the feel in terms of ergonomics reminds me of a 335 in that the neck kinda “sticks” out further than, say, a 175.

Interesting observation, thanks.

No neck dive on my semi-hollow, it sits perfectly level on my leg if I take my hands off. I think it's about 6.5 lbs
My Sadowsky FV model OTOH, will neck dive just slightly if I take my hands off. I assume the LS15 hollow model would be similar.
Gotta admit, I've never been bothered by any kind of "neck-dive" on any guitar as I always play with my right forearm resting firmly on top of the lower bout, not on the sound board like I see some people do. To each their own of course!

I could be wrong on this assumption, but I believe the "other" colors - trans black, blue, pink(?!) are typically from the japanese market. Fwiw I have the shorter scale ss15 - it's fantastic

Where is that series of Sadowsky guitars made?
That's quite a price hiccup from buying one in Japan to buying one in the US.
