Hi guys, someone has ever tried the model LS-15 Sadowsky, it is a new model (?) but it does not appear on the official site, similar to a ss-15 has two pickups and 16 keys on the body, I noticed that you only see in Japanese stores thanks to those who can tell me something about it.
    Tanks

Never heard of it before, but it is very cool. Smaller thinner body, but full 25.5 scale (hence "LS"), 2 pickups.

I was convinced that Sadowsky would have more success in the discussions, maybe it's gone out of fashion ...

I'm considering a purchase between the Sadowsky LS-15 and a Benedetto Bambino Deluxe someone tried the SS-15 or the Bruno against the Bambino? opinions?

    Ciao

I have never seen an LS-15, but have played the SS-15 and Bambino.

Both the SS-15 and Bambino are superbly made. I definitely prefer the extra room on the SS-15 via the 1 3/4” nut width.

The Bambino has a remarkably full and complex sound amplified, but there I also liked the SS-15 better. No objective measurement, just sounds more responsive to my attempts at “technique”.

    Both are great.

I tried a Bruno back when it was still for sale. Beautifully made, but the SS-15 has the very thin body and great sound, combined with the 1 3/4” nut which makes a huge difference to me.

I am sure you will be happy with any of these great small-body guitars.

I was interested in a Bruno or SS-15. I really wanted the SS-15 for the reasons you mention - wider nut, and thinner body. But I got a great deal on a beautiful mint 2005 Bruno, nitro, with stunning flame that I just could not turn down. Turns out the 1-11/16 nut actually feels wider and spacier than my other gits with the same measurement. Can't explain why that is, but I'm very happy with it. And the extra 15th fret over the SS-15's 14 is an added bonus. It DOES come in handy.

Just an aside: I posted a while back about this: My ES-275 has the same scale, pretty much same body size and tailpiece length. Both with Thomastik GB 12s. The strings on the Sadowsky feel MUCH softer, on the ES-275 much tighter/stiffer. I know we've been through this before, but the only real difference I can see is that the 275 has a steeper neck angle, and thus a steeper break over the bridge. I definitely prefer the feel of the Sadowsky. So much so that I dropped to 11s on the 275, and now they feel more similar.

    Hi Woody,

Yes indeed 11/16 is not always 11/16 in my opinion as well.

I have a Gretsch guitar with beautifully finished fret ends that allows me to have a full 37,5 mm center-to-center between the E strings with no fall-off problems at all.

Compare that to the more typical 36 mm on a 1 11/16th nut.

Or more like 35 mm on many a rounded off, nib infested, Gibson.

The Sadowsky guitars are built as well as any factory guitar ever made. Great to hear you love the Bruno.

If you actually will use them, I have one left over set of the erstwhile 12 to 50 Sadowsky Bruno strings. Sort of a smooth roundwound with “correct” T-I style tension balance. Happy to send them if you want to ever go “full Bruno” for a while.

PM your address if you will use them.

For laughs, can you check the center-to-center spacing of the E strings at the nut of the Bruno and 275?

ps - Here is the original pic I posted back when. I tried to support the bodies as evenly and level on the table as possible. The 275 is in front, Sadowsky in back. Notice the difference in neck angle.

Oh, man! Everytime I think about those precious few times I've played Sadowskys, I start to drool like an idiot.

I don't think I've ever played guitars with such good factory setups. And the overall quality didn't detract from the playing experience either. And that's quite the understatement!

Let's say that they're worth every single penny they ask for them, and then some.

The Gibson is exactly 1-3/8". The Sadowsky is just 1/32 wider.

Very interesting, never heard of the LS-15 either. Wonder if Sadowsky will have one at the Namm show. I guess ill find out. Does the LS have the 1 11/16 nut or 3/4?
