    Not saying you guys are wrong, just trying to understand the thinking behind these inquiries.
    I’d suspect that a guitar that was quickly sold on and exhibits no real wear, is probably a dud.
    Certainly if you discover this, it is a thought that springs to mind.

    It’s not a fast rule; more of an orange flag.

    I've had good luck buying from the Guitar Center Used Gear site. You can do a wide search of all stores, buy a guitar and try it out for 45 days (last I checked) and if you don't like it return it to your local store. I have it shipped to my local store, open it right there. If it is crap leave it there or take it home and try it. No risk, pretty convenient. The descriptions are bare bones but you can call the store for them to describe it. Vintage guitars (over 25yrs old) only have a 3 day try out period..again, last time I checked.
