We have two of these, as my son was momentarily into modeling amps and playing stereo. A real preamp is absolutely necessary.

A lot of power for the price. That might pair up nicely with an Iridium or Dream 65.

So how do they sound? 100W RMS into 8 Ohms is some serious power if it’s delivered with minimal distortion. The tiny class D amps I’ve tried have limited clean headroom. My Quilter Microblocks (rated at 40W) are OK for less demanding jazz gigs through a Metro. But pushed hard, they benefit from even the slight increased sensitivity of my Toob 10. A true 100W amp the same size would be fantastic. Having an onboard PS is yet another bonus. And at the current price, it’s the deal of the century if it’ll drive a Toob to another 6 clean dB over a MB.

good to know , thanks GBug
    shame ….
    they could have just put
a bit more gain in the front end
it could have been a contender

it already has a 3 way tonestack

    they could have pushed the
    price up to £75 !

I think the sound was ok, when I plugged the Superblock preamp into it. But that was a very short try long ago. I know some modeling amp guys use it with a Metro to induce guitar feedback onstage while hooked to PA.

PS I'm not sure there's a US voltage version
