Scratchy pot on Comins GCS-1

My neck pu tone control is scratchy.

I'd like to replace it. I know I could clean it, but I've never liked the taper. Most of the change in tone occurs in a fraction of the pot rotation.

Any thoughts on what pot to put in?

If You want a different pot in there You should know what is there now. Comins site does not help at all. Maybe they would answer to a direct question?

All I know is that the ’industry standard’ for a humbucker guitar is a 500 kOhm CTS logarithmic (LOG) pot. Why logarithmic? Because it sounds linear!

For sure, he recently answered a question I had about a guitar he repaired that he didn't even build, though I was reluctant as those guys usually have better things to do
But if he built it he'll answer.
