On a bit of a Joe Pass and Jim Hall kick and I realized I always simply love their guitar sound. However, like many here, I don't like the price of real ES-175's - much too high for me. I see Peerless Gigmasters pop up every now and then and I really like the modernized ES-175 look they have (save for the tuning machines). Also, it seems they are 2.84" deep which is a bit shallower than a real ES-175 and a big selling point for me as I had an Epiphone ES-175 and I did not get along with the body depth. And, best of all, they are quite a bit cheaper.
I'm wondering what people who have them think of them and if they are worth pursuing for a cheaper 175 alternative?

I don’t know about the Gigmaster but I have been very impressed by the Epiphone 175 Premium.

I like the look of the Gigmaster, I always wondered why they put the flame on the back of the Epiphone Joe Pass.

Those people that say the 175 sound is only possible with Gibson should give a listen to the Epiphone 175 premium from a few years ago that had the Gibson pickups and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference.
