13 pounds, 9”x9”x9”. I’m pretty set with amps, no need for nothing new but some of you may be interested in this.

Most practical gigging amps out there. And when you turn the hi-mid knob WAY down, they're also some of the best sounding!

Forgive me for this negative post. It's not about the Bud/Blu which I know are highly regarded.

The video below makes the Lunchbox amp sound great. I had one and couldn't get a decent sound out of it. I know that others on here have had the opposite experience with the LB.

I guess my point is that the on-line demos might be misleading.

For an even tinier setup and an even smaller and lighter footprint with a decent sound and clarity, the Quilter SuperBlock (US) and the TOOB Metro 6..5 cab are hard to beat, and much cheaper, costing less than half of the list price.

That’s my small mini setup. I’m good with it. I can actually pack it all in a lunch box.

It's maybe a couple of dates per month where the size and weight of my BUD6 really makes all the difference : when using a car is not opportune ....

I have the blu 6 and it has a very nice flat tone with my 175.
and it is loud enough for a clean tone in a open air gig with hammond and loud drummer.

apple and orange with my tone master twin reverb which is louder for sure, it’s great, but has its character on guitar tone.
the blu is flat: the natural tone of the guitar (archtop)

    I highly recomand the henriksen.

What's the difference between the Bud 6 and the Blu? Which is better for that jazz tone?

AFAIK the only difference is one channel vs. two channels.
    and 100/200 euro more.

I have both amps. In addition to having an extra channel. the Bud has a couple of extra tone shaping tools (a bright switch and a separate gain control). Both are great amps, but if I was buying one and one only, I would opt for the Bud.

This. I had the Blu and found that I really wanted the extra tone shaping of the bud. Both are great though.

I'm on the fence about whether I would recommend the 6 or the 10. Lately my preference has been for the 10.

I have the older version of Bud (5 lbs heavier so I have to keep up my resistance training). The gain control is crucial to make the amp very suitable for all kinds of pickups. The second channel will be used to amplify my new Hammond bass pedal :-)

Hi, I have a DV MARK Jazz 12 and I'm happy with it. I'm curious to know if possible, what is the difference in sound with the Bud / blu 6? Thank you

Can someone explain the point of Bud 6 to me? Do some people find Bud 10 too heavy and bulky? I can't imagine that 6 inch speaker is a better overall option than the 10 inch model from the sound point of view. Or do some find the 6 inch model more versatile?

I have the Bud 6. My friend has the Blue 10". I would say the Blue 10 is awkwardly bulky compared to the 6. Sound-wise, both are the same but the 10 has a skosh more low-end to it but nothing that would make me want it over the 6.

If I had to chose between the two, Bud 6 all day, every day.

I have both the 6 and 10 (two of the 6 actually). I find that the tone of the 6 is more balanced. If I could only have one Henriksen it would be the Bud 6. The 10 is darker and more bass heavy. Those who like a "Pat Martino" tone will probably prefer the 10. If I use one of my Henriksen amps with the 6 in conjunction with my Raezer's Edge Stealth 10ER, It splits the difference quite nicely.

The 6" fits conveniently in a small gig bag. The 10" fits in a gig bag but it's super bulky and a bit more awkward to walk around with.

As for tone, i don't know how to describe it other than the 6" sounds a bit drier to me. The 10" has a more full range frequency response. The extra bass can be turned down as needed.

    Both are great.

I've had the Blu6 for several years although I haven't played very much over the past 3 years and hardly at all with other people since COVID happened. I also had a left hand sports injury last year just as I was starting to practice more but I digress...

Anyway, to my ears, the Blu is warmer sounding than the Bud. At least it was at the time the Bud was being made several years ago. When the Blu came out it was quite a bit lighter in weight than the Bud (I want to say by around 4 lbs?) which I think was in part due to some different tech being used for the power or heatsink or something...I can't remember. But I can say the Bud is very warm sounding and significantly warmer than my Mambo 8 (one of the first ones made which I've had since 2012). I also have a Henriksen Alfresco 12 which was the Soundisland (RIP Michael Biller) demo which sounds great, and even compared to that amp with a custom spec'd speaker Michael had installed, the Blu6 is really warm sounding.

The Blu received the power amp update before the bud did. The difference you hear is not the difference between the blu and the bud but between the two power amp modules.

the current production blu and bud sound identical at the same settings. Neither is warmer inherently.

A 6" speaker can sound as good as a 10". My little Toob Metro can get overpowering on the bass if you want that, and crank the bass on the amp. IMO it's no longer necessary to have a big speaker to get a big sound. Bigger speakers just get more beamy, with less volume to the sides.

I don't know, Small speakers can amplify bass frequencies but I think the character of bass is different compared to the more laid back, effortless, and ambient bass that comes from bigger diameter speakers. One can prefer the bass response from a small speaker, but it's a different response than what you'd get from a bigger speaker IMO.
