As I get old(er) I find that I appreciate skill and artistry in guitar building more and more. When confronted with an instrument built by someone who has accumulated a lifetime of experience in building and demonstrates that skill time after time I have to just sit back and celebrate their accomplishments. Such is the case with Mr. John Buscarino. I commissioned a 16" Virtuoso a little over a year ago expecting to be overwhelmed. I was absolutely correct. Amplified or acoustic this guitar has a tone and elegance that I have never experienced in an archtop before. I will let the pictures do the talking.

One of the finest Archtops I ever played was fairly plain 17” Artist Buscarino. Wish I could afford his asking prices.

Gorgeous, just perfection. I ordered my Buscarino used without ever seeing or playing one in person and was floored by the construction, fit and finish. Even on a 15+ year old guitar.

Congrats on your Virtuoso…. I am fortunate own a Cabaret, Monarch and a Rhapsody and I agree that John builds instruments of superlative quality and tone. His time at the bench began 44 years ago so his mastery at this stage is at the asymptote of the luthiers craft.

Very nice man, too. Friendly, warm, professional. I bought his new Chameleon amp and powered cab from him. It is the best amp I have every played, perfect solution for both jazz boxes, rock guitars, piezo classical and acoustic guitars, guitar and singer, etc. Really well made, sounds better than any amp I’ve tried.

Taylor Roberts turned me on to it. Listen to Taylor on FB or YouTube with the Buscarino Chamelon and his new Ribbekke 7 string. Man, what a GREAT live sound.
