Quite the "harmonious" sax playing there. sounds like a whole section.

I don't think that's a Gibson, the inlays just are not right. Lovely guitar though. Very intriguing: an archtop guitar with what looks like a Telecaster neck pick up.

I have a funny story about that one. McLaughlin was looking for a real prewar ES150 for this film. He went to one of the best vintage shops in Paris. Incredibly, just when he entered the shop there was someone playing this guitar.

- No answered the player. It's mine, it's a very fragile instrument and it won't go anywhere even if Jesus Christ asks for it.
Then JMcL took this replacement guitar...
I got this story from the player himself and checked it with the owner later.Last edited by Fred Archtop; 04-11-2023 at 12:18 PM.

I don't think that qualifies as a vintage archtop. Besides, in real life Audrey played a Super 400.

Dave Barbour with a nice L5N from 1940 in the middle of Benny Goodman band.
I am lucky enough to own this guitar myself.
Cheers.

I was not aware that absurdity and irony were limited to but one date per year. I shall take note.

Now I keep picturing her playing an 18" archtop - I can't get it out of my head! And her head is all I can see of her behind it.
