Yes good point. Do you think it will be close to the sound that I will hear when i'm playing through an amp, since i'll hear both the acoustic and amplified sounds or will it be vastly different? It's out for delivery today (finally) can't wait!!

On my guitar with floater, I can hear the acoustic sound when plugged in, so long as the amp is quiet. Actually sometimes it is distracting!

Curious to know how your Westville plays and sounds? Have you received it yet? I'm also interested in ordering one and want to know your experience.
Thanks!

Sorry for the delay in my response. It always takes me a while to make up my mind about an instrument so i thought it to be only fair to write back after I fully digested the whole thing. Anyway.. I'm a fan. It's beautifully made, quality instrument, good fretwork etc. Coming from a 17 inch archtop, I really like this size. It feels nice and comfortable to play, easy to pick up and noodle with. The sound is pretty loud acoustically but obviously that loud since it has a build in pickup. Reminds me a bit of a ES-175 or of the Sadowsky guitars (which are made at the same factory). The sound could have a bit more depth, but I hope this will happen, at least in part, through playing it and with age. I'm also curious what a different pickup would do. I emailed mr. Kleijn about this but haven't heard back yet.
