I have a question for those who own the guitar mentioned in the title. I searched the forum and I found out that several members own such a model. What is the body-depth of this guitar? I couldn't find this information on the Gibson website and I would like to compare it with the depth of my "standard" 2010 Gibson 175 which measures about 8.65 cm.
Same question applies also to those who own one of these reissues made prior to 2016, of course.

should have the very same body depth as all the other Gibson ES-175 out there,
as there is only one tool size in their shop for this guitar I'd argue.
for reference: my 1951 is 8.5 cm deep.

Thanks much.

The rim on my '59RI is about 8.45cm. The full depth is slightly larger due to the top/back carves.

So the rim is slightly smaller than mine, which is not a '59 reissue. That is what I suspected.

maybe they do not have the very same thickness all around.
where do we agree to measure then ?

My guess is that, if other forum members who own a 59 reissue Es 175 measure the body depth at the bottom of the guitar, which is where I measured it, they will find something less than what I have in my 2010 175.
But I might be wrong....

Measured mine again, the rim varies between 8.45 and 8.6.
