    Dear Jazzers,

Today I've change strings on my L5C from 1953 and I took profit of this to record a short video. It is plugged to my Fender Deluxe Reissue '65.

The ending from 2'11'' is a reminiscence of the immense John Abercrombie, but I've forgotten the tune I stole it from him. It happended to fall naturally under my fingers while I was playing this tune.

Hope you'll enjoy the sound of this old lady.

    Best and take care.

That's a great arrangement and probably one of the best tones I've heard.

Great playing as always, Fred. I love the sound of that guitar. It is what convinced me to try a CC floater in my new Campellone.

There is a reason why the acoustic L-5 was the inspiration for the guitars of John D'Angelico. Your video explains that reason far better than words ever could.

Nice playing, nice guitar and nice socks!

    Freddy!
That was a great video, by one of JGF’s best! My man Fred. I love, appreciate and respect the talent you have. And the tremendous amount of effort you put into these videos should be rewarded.
    You are great sir.

    Dear All,

Thanks for your comments and strong support. It's just a short video with a rendition made on the spot while I was changing strings. The guitar sounded so great that I wanted to share this with you. What has striked me when playing ampliflied is all the details given by the CC PU made by Pete Biltoft. Alhough it's pure electric sound, you can hear so much wood and space in the tone . Great mic' indeed.

    Thanks a million.
