[I thought I had seen a similar post before, but I couldn't find one!]
It seems in general retail, "poor" customer service is the norm, so when I receive "great" service, I'm thrilled!
I have a used (so, out of warranty, not the original owner, etc.) Henriksen Blu that developed a "crackling/buzzing" sound on certain pitches -- E, Eb, and D (on the 2nd/3rd strings) -- so I contacted Henriksen, and sent a quick video demo. They wrote back, and said, "Could be this, could be that," and told me about their repair program. So, I followed the easy steps on their site, and for a pretty reasonable fee, the amp was shipped there and back, they fixed it within a couple days of receiving it, let me know what was up, and in a couple days I had my amp back, good as new!!
Wow! So, a shout out to Peter and his team for making great gear, and giving high-quality service to their customers!

I am running a couple of Henriksen jazz amps now. I was always a tube guy previously but these came up for good prices a while back. I am sure glad that I bought them. I think that my days of using tubes are gone. These are stable and sound great. No hearing fatigue, etc. Wouldn't bother me a bit if I had to send one in for service but so far so good.

If you're a niche player, you better be nimble. Both Henriksen and Quilter have a fantastic reputation for responsiveness. Yet, it's one thing to serve the US market, no matter how vast. The rest of the world is the challenge. So is anything solid-state on a printed circuit board. Easier to replace than repair.
A Norwegian client of mine was very impressed about the service he got for his 1st gen Bud from Henriksen. Kudos!

I have gotten incredible service from Acoustic Image and expect that I would get the same from Henriksen. All a far cry from what we got from Polytone back in the day.

I have no experience with Henriksen, but my old first-gen Clarus head has a transferrable lifetime warranty. I'm not sure whose lifetime. I learned this when I inquired of AI about the age of the amp I had purchased used. It was volunteered in the email reply. I did have a noise problem eventually, and it was repaired for the cost of shipping. I can't say if that's the case with newer models.
