I’ve recently purchased what I believe to be an Epiphone Emperor pre joe pass but do not have any other info on it. It seems all identifying labels have either been removed or faded away? I would really appreciate any information especially estimated year, etc. Thank you!

Looks like one by the headstock, binding & fretboard end, yes. I suspect late 80/early 90s and Korean.. Peerless maybe, Unsung perhaps

Needs a little TLC, but it's a darn fine instrument. Congratulations, and play it in good health!

It looks to be a pre joe pass ie with the switch on the horn. JP wanted it in the 'Gibson' location. It looks very similar to mine except for the switch position. Mine is a 92. So yours is earlier.

I have a similar situation - I have what, by all appearances, an Emperor II Joe Pass. Except... there is no labeling to that effect (headstock, truss rod cover, pickguard). AND, the label inside the soundhole indicates that it is a DOT (335)!!!
