Cut a 9” square of wood, acrylic etc that’s thick enough to support the amp (3/16 to 1/4” should be plenty) and rigid enough not to resonate. Round and smooth the corners so it doesn’t rip the lining of the bag. Carry it under the amp in its gig bag and prop it up with a simple rubber wedge like this one -

You can use wood, rubber or plastic wedges like doorstops, tire chocks etc. Used without the platform, you can tune the bass Q by propping the front of the amp bottom to different heights. With the platform on the wedge, the tilt will change the low bass by a very small but often audible amount (depending on the room and placement of the amp). Usually it reduces it a little bit by reducing boundary reinforcement by the floor.

Cool thanks for the info. I already have an "ampwedge" that i have had for years. just looking for something like the henriksen one that will fold up, fit in side pocket.

Sadly, the $10 ones seem to have disappeared. I bought one from Sweetwater a few years ago and it's identical to the Henriksen badged version. Is the real thing worth $30? Only you can answer that. I ordered the wedge when I ordered my Blu ('way back during Covid). When I discovered the $10 versions, I felt a little foolish for not checking around first. Fortunately, I got over it

I always used an Amp Wedge with my Jazz Amp 112 - found it smoothed out the bass response beautifully - but when I sold it, I included the Amp Wedge. With my Bud 6 and Little Jazz, I sometimes use a couple of rubber door stops - but not very often - as I don't really need them at lower volumes, and the amps sit on top of non-tilted extension speaker cabinets (2x8 stacked vertically or 1x10 with a tweeter) in higher volume situations.

Evans amps have a small spring loaded foot that provides tilt. I bought one from them about 20 yrs ago to put on a RE cab; its still there, works great and you never have to remember to bring it to the gig or back home.

    [Hijacking, sorry!]

Just came across this alternative amp wedge on Rev; looks cool, and same price as the (on sale) Henriksen.
