The Strymon Iridium has very limited options but I will switch between speaker IR's from time to time and even between a blackface and Vox model. I know it sounds fidgety and unnecessary. However in practice, it helps dial in what I want to hear in the moment and the capability is applied more frequently than I would have thought.
Vox amp and speaker modelling is one that I struggle with. Sure, can do a Shadows or Beatles sound, usually, but not too flexible after that. The Tweed and Blackface Fender models seem much easier. Maybe that's because Fender made my amp

On Helix Stomp, I use Jazz Rivet (Roland Jazz Chorus) and Princess (Princeton). On the Super Champ X2, the 1st (clean) channel with extra mids and the Jazzmaster setting on the modeling channel (2nd channel). There are more on the other models with low gain but I don't remember them now.

The Helix has to be the Cadillac of the FX world.

I find it interesting how DSP modelling is becoming easier and easier to implement, and so we are even seeing low end products including it. Heck, my little raspberry Pi is running Camilla DSP which I can feed an IR into and adjust the sound of my hifi, so working with lofi guitar stuff is a doddle.

I think it is now becoming more about the skill of the modellers in sampling the target speaker/cabinet/amp that determines the quality of the outcome. I am sure Helix are continually improving their data and sound great (I haven't played with one myself), and they need to, because the competitors are close on their heels (at least).

That looks like a luxury version of the Joyo American pedal, which can be found for a fraction of the price of that Nux?

    (I saw a "Joyo American" for around 11€ on Aliexpress ... a rip-off??!)

Nux might be one of those new up and coming brands. Hope they keep it up

Nope. The Joyo is a knock-off of a Tech21 Blond pedal, which is an analog box that emulates the character of different Fender preamp sections and tone stacks. That Nux pedal is a digital amp modeler and speaker IR's + effects in a pedal form factor. Looks to be sort of a mash-up of the Atomic Amplifire Box and Strymon Iridium in terms of functions. I have no idea how much of this box is NuX's own development vs reverse engineering of someone else's (but googling around, it does appear they do their own development on at least some products).

There is a Harley Benton American Sound pedal which is a clone of the Joyo. I have both and they are identical to the last buzz. Retails at T for about 30€.
