Anyone know of a company that makes Tweed cabinets that I could slide a quilter 101 Reverb in the the top? I'm looking to make something that looks like a Tweed Deluxe 112 with the quilter as the electronics. So I don't have the separate head sitting up on top of a Tweed cabinet.

Welcome!
Doesn't VBoutique make the cabs for Quilter? Contact them!

They do offer this and they used to have other versions. There may be others in there somewhere, but I don't see tweed. Do as Mark suggests and see what they can do for you.
Or buy the Quilter and find an upholsterer or wrap it yourself? It's not that hard. I managed to do a tolex cab when I was about 16.

The Tweed Deluxe combo is the most often made DIY amp, so the web is full of diagrams and tutorials.
If You don’t want to do so much woodwork You can always buy a Tweed extension cab and saw the hole for the Quilter head on the top.
For example here:
Narrow Panel Tweed Deluxe(R) Guitar 5E3 Amplifier Extension Speaker Cabinet | eBay
If You want it neat You should first cut some of the tweed from the top, then loosen it from the places to saw and afterwards glue it around the top board.
Good luck for Your project!

Fender makes a fine tweed ext. cabinet, with a Celestion 80 watt speaker. You'd need to cut it up for a Quilter, but at least your starting with a quality cab.

I don’t mean to highjack this thread but…I am thinking of buying a V Boutique cabinet 1x12 to pair with my Toneblock 202 - I then would need to choose a speaker. As many of you have stated, this is a rabbit hole and I must admit I am not an audiophile and a bit overwhelmed by the options; manufacturers, ratings, cone types, magnet types, etc. I play a Godin Montreal Premier (primary) for jazz and blues and a Charvel strat for rock stuff. I’m wondering about any thoughts on a good all around speaker. (I run through a Yamaha closed back cab. at home). This cabinet / speaker would be for home use and gigging. I lean toward a Fender tone. Any ideas / opinions would be welcome.

I contacted mojotone for an extra $35 they will make a custom cut in the top.

Looks good! Can't beat the tweed!

This is also bigger (18" x 23,5" x 11") than a Tweed Deluxe cabinet (16,7" x 20" x 9,5").
But sometimes You need bigger and heavier.

Jensen Tornado 12" Classic 100 is surprisingly good Neodymium speaker. Very balanced Fenderish feel. And light. I like it with Quilter TB202 a lot.

Yes, the speaker cab is a tiny bit heavy, but man, you should hear how it sounds with its matching Fender 57 Custom Deluxe (5y3) head!

I don't know about others but I can't adjust myself into a head & cab thing.

Too much potential points for an accident.
And to have the amp on the floor means that I have to knee to adjust the EQ and on the gig anyone bywalker can kick the knobs broken. And if there will happen no accidents the amp has gotten dusty anyway.
Yes, I have done too many gigs in beer joints. But hey, they are the only gigs I can get!

Yeah I don't like the idea of that little quilter head laying around or even setting up on top of the cabinet I have seen others make a little Tweed box that the quilter sets inside but I would rather mount it inside the cabinet so it looks like a combo amp. And I don't have anything extra to Lug around if I decide to go Jam somewhere

Yes, and detach the cables and have a safe transport bag or something for them and the amp. Too much hassle!

Two cab builders I think highly of:
- Joe at Pinetone. In Sussex County NJ
- Peter Mather
Both build light, very toneful pine cabs. I'm sure either one would be able to do a custom cab such as you describe.

Oh man, this is very convincing stack!
