I want to try a tune o matic on a 175. Looking for nickel, and I want something that has a patina that matches the age of the instrument. Does anyone have any high quality recommendations?

Amateur question because I've never used a tune o matic on an archtop. Is the Faber bridge the correct spacing for a wooden floating archtop base? I.e. same spacing for a wood base as you would see for threaded bridge pin?

For a Gibson....yes. They also come pre- notched for a drop in install.

One should not forget a milled brass (not cast) alternative ABM.

ABM High Quality German Guitar Parts, 2500n-RE aged

I have them in all my Les Pauls.

I have thought that all Gibson bridges are interchangeable, but the 1984 ES-175 that I just got has a Nashville bridge that has the post holes some mm’s wider than ordinary ABR-1 bridge.

I can modify the holes of a wooden bridge with a drill but I can’t do it for a brass ABR-1 bridge.
