Another beautiful performance, Joe!. I really dig the way that the guitar (in your hands) speaks clearly in a perfectly balanced way across all the strings, sonorous and strong with not a hint of mud - clear and clean and crisp. Very nice indeed!

Some of us don’t even allow ourselves to dream of playing that well on such a beautiful instrument.

Thank You C74. You are right. So powerful. A guitar that I am incapable of hitting the bottom of.
It really deserves the accolades it gets. Its sitting in my wall case right in front of me, wearing a really big smile.. Thank you buddy.

Hahaa, thats cool Ted. Thank you buddy. I feel like I am dreaming too when I am playing it - ever since I stopped whining about the Tailpiece. I am extremely happy with this guitar.
    Thanks Ted.

So beautiful. Thanks for putting a smile on my face, Joe. Some of us own guitars. You OWN that guitar. It’s like it was made for you. I love the gentle bark an L-5 makes on the notes where you dig into it a bit. It’s magical.

    Thanks again for sharing.

Wow. You don't need the tailpiece "L5" insignia because every sound you bring out of that guitar writes "GIBSON L5" in the sky with fire!

Like Shania Twain... she doesn't need "Beautiful Woman" written on her t-shirt. Everybody knows.

Same way with your guitar. If someone doesn't realize it's an L5 upon hearing it, they have more problems than an engraved logo can solve.

This guitar is like a Porsche. The gentle bark (ok, maybe not so gentle), and the fact that ABSOLUTELY lives up to its reputation and does not disappoint.
Thank you brother. I hope you are feeling great.

    Thank you Lawson.
Although Shania wouldn’t mind if her Tee Shirt said, “I am a Great Singer” though..
    Thanks again buddy.
And seriously, thank you everyone for your wonderful comments. It means more to me than you know. And the pleasure is 100% all mine. Thank you everyone.

I still think an L5 Guitar is the only Guitar that deserves to wear the L5 moniker and the logo should appear on the tailpiece. But, I understand. Its all good.
Max, I am sorry if you thought my joke about the tailpiece was unfriendly. It was not.
I understand how this kind of flaw, ever unnoticeable by the audience, can be a nuisance for the owner !

Doris Day was a favourite with men and women. a great comedy actress and in serious roles, always looked a million dollars
and with a great personality ,obviously a kind and caring lady with a winning demeanour. Had a long and happy life we hope.
Her vocals were pretty darned good too!

    Nice Joe!

What, if any, effects are you running inside the GT-001? I think I hear just the slightest bit of reverb—very tasty. Any EQ, impulse response or other cab emulation? I am guessing that you aren’t monitoring the signal and instead just hear the guitar in the room. Real nice.

I might give this recording approach a try with my Hofner Chancellor through an HX Effects.

Thanks, buddy. I am feeling better each day. Have been able to pick up and play my guitars again over the past month. Life is getting better and better!

Such a great song. My personal favorite version is by Buddy Emmons. As for the guitar, you make them all sound good but I had really just gotten used to you playing that Gibson with the formed top. Suddenly the tone is much brighter.

This one did BUT ... I sold everything with speaker biger than 1" before we left Mexico and I won't replace anything until we move into the new house in three weeks. So I'm listening on my laptop speakers which means I really shouldn't believe anything I hear and you probably shouldn't pay any attention to anything I say

There is a touch of reverb, good ear. I have the 1st preamp section turned off and the second one is using the tweed and a 2x12 cabinet, with all dials set flat. I do use the EQ, but just to increase recording volume. The EQ is flat. No other effects.
My guitar volume is set to 10 and the tone is set to 9.
I am aware of what the guitar sounds like, because I always practice with headphones using these same settings.
    Thank you.

Roli, I’m glad you getting strong. The top on that beautiful Tal needs to get pushed.
I am happy to hear that life is getting better Roli.
