I have Order'd One with the Foot Switch. And What this Pedal can do is Astounding, You need a Micro SD 8 gig card to use it and it stores your work on it up to 12 songs when its full you remove it put the songs on your computer. erase the Micro SD and put it back in to do more songs.I have read the manual and listen'd to 50 reviews and samples. Read a lot of Forum postings. You can record a lot of different drum and bass styles, change the amount of embellishment or Intensity is done for any part. tempo control 4/4 or 3/4 time, built in guitar effects, Looper with over dub. And you can store each part in 5 separate tracks, and play any track back in any order you want and how many counts for each. This foot pedal does even more has a FX loop to run your pedals in. A Mixer out when used will only send the Drum and Bass to that line so it can be pluged into a different amp then the guitar. Headphone out with volume control. Digitech Trio + The Drum and Bass+ Looper-digitech_trio-plus_001-jpg The external foot switch will allow you the ease of use to run your songs back, create a loop, cut the Drum or Bass out. and more. Now some draw backs you have to teach it so you must go slow at first using just root notes or power cords. once you get it to learn that I think you get more complex until it just wont matter thats as far as it will learn. the usb is not for storeing songs into your computer only the Micro SD 8 gig . Also many say it wont do syncopation type work. It is way faster then going to a Daw to do all that this will do and it will sound right on time no out of balanced levels.

Friend has one. Good learning tool for different styles. Really needs midi sync to use it with other gear.

Funny, I was just tossing up whether to get a "regular" looper, a la, EHX, Boss, TC, etc., or spend the extra $$$ and get this. The synchronistic timing of this thread may have just swayed me.

The Trio+ is a LOT more fun/useful than a looper...you get bass and drum parts and looping.

I find it a lot easier to buy stuff, than it is to make time to learn how to use it - my Trio plus w/footswitch being one such acquisition.

I picked one up second-hand last year at a bargain price, but it’s been gathering dust as I found the learning curve to be steeper than anticipated (and I suspect it was the same for the guy I bought it from).

If you happen to have links to any good YouTube videos with idiot proof step-by-step instructions of how to create a good loop and/or backing track in a jazz context that you would be willing to share, I for one would certainly appreciate it.

    Advance thanks,

I got the Trio+ yesterday. Have used most of its basic features, Made a simple song using major and minor chords, did some walk ups and Run downs, it worked well. Tried out the song dynamics and the Bass patterns you can make more complicated or more simple and it does add different aspects to the song you create. I used the sequencer for two tracks and it worked good. I tried out the looper function and overdub, I wish they would have added a flashing light to let you know when the band starts on its second loop to record on, so I guess I will use the 4count in function for that. When you use the looper and over dub you need to have the band part off to undo the overdub but not if you want to undo the original loop. The save and erase function for the band track is a little hard to use. I might use my Jam Man solo xt to save the bank songs that way, but then I wont get the sequencer function part back for that band song. I am going to try more styles latter because I have only tried the Blues and Rock styles so far. Once I get some good Band backing tracks done I will post them, could be a while. I am a little pickey on how it should sound. But its a good pedal well worth the 200$ it cost me. It is faster to get a song using this than putting all the parts together in a Daw.
