    I have no idea what you're trying to say.. big box store? Broken clock?
    The tokai has a mahogany neck, as most of the japanese 335 clones..
    The ibanez certainly isn't "the odd exception".
    Happy new year to you.

    I said: " invariably just miss the mark"

    Invariably= always.
    Miss= Present tense

    Meaning who today is making a 335 clone that is readily available and can be bought in Sam Ash or Guitar center or other location?

    If you don't get the broken clock expression, look it up.

    thanks for the free english lesson!
    to answer your question:
    tokai, momose, bacchus, archtop tribute.. just to name a few..
    Now they might not be available at sam ash or guitar center, but you can buy one now if you want and they are available in stores here in europe.

    But I thought you were saying in your original post all clones miss the 335 vibe..
    And that none have a mahogany neck.
    I disagree.

    Nope... I said:

    "I own and have owned a number of 335's and several clone brand 335's, and as well made as they are the clones invariably just miss the mark of the 335 vibe."

    I was stating that the ones I own and have owned

    and:

    "isn't it odd that most of the 335 clones have maple necks with the odd exception being the Ibanez AS-200,"

    That wasn't meant to be a definitive list, as I said "MOST"

    Maybe it would have been clearer if I had said:

    "isn't it odd that many of the 335 clones have maple necks with the RARER exception being the Ibanez AS-200,"

    If that's a bit more clear, then mea culpa. I didn't mean to attack your opinion and observations, but my statement: "ones I own and have owned" seems to have ruffled feathers, again, mea culpa.

    Congrats to the OP. I love the blonde look. I have an ebony 2011 Nashville made VOS 335 that popped up locally and that i fell for. I'm assuming that is what you wound up with. Orange Nashville label and a fat neck?

    In a perfect world mine would be a blonde. Not that I'm complaining, I'm blessed to have mine.

    I agree with the concept of downsizing aging collectors. Actually, that's how I fine mine a few years ago. Some nice stuff should be winding up on the market going forward.

    Big Congrats, enjoy!!

    Thank you!

    Mine was made in the Memphis Custom Shop - so the Red Label. I'm not sure whether to call it a medium or fat neck. The specs call it a 1959 rounded neck, more heft there than the '63 re-issue, for sure.

    One really interesting feature not shown in the pics is a very thin Holly veneer on the head stock. And the thing I love most about this particular blonde is that the antique natural finish. The wood grain looks warm in the light.
