Vinny keeps only the best examples of the brand new guitars he buys. And when he has them, he keeps them immaculate. Buying a guitar from V is actually better than buying from Gibson or one of its dealers. The reason, he won’t send you shit..
Sky, I’ve been using Menzerna P085-RD on my guitars for years. It is a swirl removing light finishing polish. Maybach, Bentley, Rolls Royce and Aston use this stuff to polish there cars before they are leave the factory. It levels the surface of the paint by removing a microscopic amount of the surrounding lacquer where the imperfection is. It is very difficult to burn through the lacquer down to the wood with this stuff. But it is EASY to polish the surface to the absolute shiniest and slickest imaginable. It will take out the imperfection that the Flonase left behind and leave the surface shinier than it ever was..

Bro P085 has been out of production for a long time unless you have a source I can’t find. You must have bought a big bottle. Anything Menzerna is top shelf. Is Menzerna silicone free ?

    OK. Thanks Vinny!
Any thoughts about Meguiar's Deep Crystal polish (step 2)? I have a big bottle of that. Also, Is the Guitar Players Scratch Kit the 'Eternashine' stuff ? Just curious. I also have Preservation polish, from Stewmac. And, Stewmac also has a 'scratch remover'. I wonder about that stuff.

And, I really do appreciate the replies. I'm a real 'fraidy-cat' when it comes to nitro finishes. That's probably a good thing.

I have used the Eterna Shine stuff, but not on lacquer. I did work well on poly FWIW.

The Eternashine is made for both poly or nitro though after using on nitro the nitro will feel a tiny bit sticky after using it but perfectly safe. The blue is the course and the red is fine. You almost always need to use the blue 1st followed by the red then Virtuoso.
That specific Meguiar's you have Steve has silicone in it. Their professional compounds like 102 does not. I have not tried StewMac scratch remover and very unimpressed with their polish. The Eternashine guitar scratch remover stuff is pricey but is super safe to use on nitro. It also leaves a gleaming shine were some compounds will dull.
On the cheap you can use wet 3000 grit sandpaper than your Meguiar's to polish out the dullness.
