I know the jazz purists don't like some of these Wes arrangements very much … it's not the wild and wonderful small group jamming that we know and love him for

But I really really love these arrangements … I'm almost ashamed to admit that "Day In The Life" is one of my favorite Wes albums … I really dig how the arranger(s?) built full rich beautiful orchestral pieces around his guitar playing

These recordings also remind me of spending the night at my grandparents when I was a kid. They went to sleep with the radio on the easy listening station and that station played tons of these Wes arrangements. I sometimes had trouble sleeping. I could here it across the house and the occasional guitar pieces that came on would set my mind to racing.

Thanks 2B. As you are well aware, what you want and what you need doesn’t dovetail together so neatly.
But if for the rest of my life, I can only have one guitar, I would be lucky to have this one!

Aww thanks Strbender. If you like Johnny Smith or Joe Pass, I’ve got plenty of numbers up there to listen to. Thanks again.

and of course both sounds are great..and you don't even have to lug around or mic a bassman or a twin!!!...just change a preset...hah
    cheers
Thanks Neatomic. It’s nice to have choices. If I had to choose, it would be the Bassman.

One of your best performances in recent memory, Joe. Every note was perfectly placed. Bravo!

Not for nothing Mr. Cushman, but Joe raves to me over and over what a remarkable difference in tonal response he gets after you made him the custom bridge... Hats off to you sir...

    yep Mikey..
Matt made me 2 bridges with bases. And they fit better (guitar was sight unseen, mind you..) then the bridge base than some butcher here in New Jersey was able to do in a couple of hours.
Not only are they better fitting, but the wheels turn much easier under load than other bridge adjuster I’ve ever turned. Amazing!

    Perfect tone and playing.
Seriously, that tone is what I think of when I think perfect jazz tone.

Really very nice, Joe. Beautiful tone, and from a pedal! Surprisingly good, but then you clearly know what you are doing and have it in your hands. Cheers!

Thank you DRS. I thought it was my perfect tone too. I’m gonna stick with and maybe just turn down the treble on the amp a little. Thanks again.
