Can I have your opinion on this guitar's tone?

Same show better performance and tune. Great tone, sounds like the White Rabbit album tone.

Agree he has great tone here and playing much more fluid. Classis Benson at the top of his game.

To my ears, I prefer the tone in this version over the first one posted by the OP . . . anyone else perceive a difference or is the ringing in my ears interfering with my ability to hear clearly???

There's a quality to the original video tone that I associate with as being in the middle position, so both pickups in parallel. That's what it sounds like to me and it's not a tone I care for for all that much. It's hard to tell in that video but from what I can see, it looks like the selector switch is neck pickup but as I said, hard to see.

The tone in this other video here sounds like neck pickup only and you can clearly see that it is.

Both are immediately identifiable as GB, but I like the tone of the second better.

So if it was a blind listening test, I'd say the first vid was middle position and this last one was neck. In fact I'm pretty sure that's what's going on. It's not impossible for the switch to malfunction.
