Because of this I'm looking to have separate channels for eqs and sound levels so I can just either instrument and go. Other then the Fishman Loudbox Artist Pro are there any other options? Currently utilizing a Laney LA35C, which has worked well, but the aux channel for guitar 2 just doesn't have the detail that the dedicated guitar channel has.
I had the Loudbox Artist and it was great.

I absolutely adore my Genz Benz Shenedoah.. 2 channel with parametric mids per channel. It sounds alot like a good powered PA speaker with a good eq section.

I understand GenzBenz made a version with a tube preamp on board. That would be my starting point.

I would use mine with an outboard tube preamp like my Mesa Formula pre or even a POD. This makes a lightweight rig.

If weight is less an issue than it is for my aging body.. My other suggestion is to look at old Peavey hybrid amps which sound great with any and everything put to them, or old early Fender Silverface combos like a Vibrolux.

Another option is to go with a small powered speaker and a preamp/mixer.

    So I experiemnted a bit.

First I brought home a Marshal AS50D. Plenty of power. Nice weight and size. Tone in the venue was a little flat. Not bad, but not worth buying. Archtop actually sounded better then my Breedlove.

Tried a Fishman Artist. Wife liked it several times in the store, as did I. Mostly good things I've heard. Demo (Floor) model was only one left. Again plenty of power and very little footprint. Venue, this did weird things. Tuned to our Church Organ which is a tad sharp, the speakers were distorting and farting over a few chords that I will be using often.

Just brought home a Fender Acoustic. Very impressed in the store and they had one left NIB (not trusting demo models after the Fishman) Really Breathes and has tremendous bottom end for its size. Rated at 100 Watts the 50 Watt Marshall and my Baby Laney sound much louder but should have enough power. Waiting to try it in the venue on Thursday. Plucked or strummed it sounds like a giant soundhole, not just a transistor emitting the frequencies if that makes any sense. Hate buying NEW items, prefer them to be out a year and get some of the bugs worked out first but I encourage anyone that sees one to check it out.

The Fenders look real cool too. I *think* they've been out for a couple of years now. The Fishman should not have choked/barfed unless you were really pushing it. Maybe you play louder than I thought from your initial description.

I hit chords hard on certain pieces, but the preamp on the breedlove had volume on 5 and amp was on like 4. Should not have had issues but who knows what it's been through on the floor as a demo. would have liked to try a NIB but no chance.

Old topic here. If you are still around, I'm wondering what you ended up with.
