Ah--sorry. Since your backline is FRFR I thought you'd be using Output 1 for both.

I use a different output for both because I like to use a different global eq for the house but I may compromise on that and use your suggestion.

The FXL block is very simple--it's just IN 2 and OUT 2. The only configuration is the selection of Bypass mode: "Through" passes the signal directly from IN 2 to OUT 2, "Mute" blocks it. Whether it acts as a loop depends on how you use it. The signal goes out OUT 2. If it's not bypassed and in an active row, it needs to come back into IN 2 or that chain is broken.

You could have it connected to the Input block and Output block directly, tap it off the main row and reconnect it later in that row, or just have its own FX blocks separate from the main row. You could also just leave it in the main row with a scene that bypasses the Cab block and any other blocks you don't want in the synth chain. The beauty of Scenes is that it remembers the bypass state of every block, so you have lots of flexibility in what's active for the guitar sound versus the synth sound, or scenes where you blend the two and others that are just guitar or just synth. With the AX8 the limit is mostly from running out of processing power, in which case sharing blocks may be a good idea.

Hey Danny, since you seem to understand this stuff, am I doing it right? See below. Thanks

So...After my disappointment with the SY-300's polyphonic capability, I may try a kemper again. There are about 10 profiled kemper synth patches and because of the way kemper works, these should be clear as a bell on chords.
Stay tuned for an update...
