You wouldn't be cracking wise if you could smell how great it all is. I did the herb/butter rub with Calvados and after I had the bird in the baking bag (on a bed of thick sliced Hawaiian onions as a "raft") I drizzled more Calvados over the bird before close the Reynolds Baking Bag... DUDE !!!

The last time we tried to cook a turkey in a baking bag, we almost burned the house down. Put the turkey in the oven, went for a walk in the country, came home to find a fire truck at our house. Apparently, the bag burst and started a grease fire. Burned some of the kitchen cabinets, but my guitars were ok. No more baking bags for me!

Oh is that what that was, I was wondering? And here I thought the turkey looked like it had yet to be cooked...so that's the bagged look....BM can burn! I wish we were closer so I could slide over and learn how to cook!

Happy the seller followed through this time. Congrat's BM, she looks sweeeeet!!!

1st cognac then Calvados.. Turkey is supposed to be food. Not a before, during and after dinner drink! Come on Mikey. A little herbs, and adobo is all you really need..

You're supposed to put a tablespoon of flour in the bag and shake it, then once your product is in tie the bag off AND puncture 6 1/2 inch holes in the bag. This bird was done, tender and juicy. Everything is packed and the dishes are going... All wiseacres eat whatever slop you have waiting for you. LOL !!!

And mixing butter/herbs/booze and sliding that mixture under the skin of the breast is an old pro trick. You should try it...

I got a partial refund on the buying price, I had paid the full asking price of 5k, the seller felt bad he cancelled the last sale, at $4500.00 and refunded the difference to me, so I paid $4500.00 for her.

ALSO those of you that were looking for zig zag tailpieces: Paul has three: one nickel, one US made chrome and one import chrome. When he runs his ad on Reverb I'll post a link in the Gear For Sale section...

Mike on the Lifton case, does the locking latch still work? There should be a small round piece that you side over to the right which opens the spring loaded latch. When it flies open it makes a sound that I can still hear to this very day.
Its a piece my youth. No other case has such a mechanism.

Well all that work (shopping, clearing out the fridge, roasting the bird, making all the sides (yummy) called for some late night fun. The temps cooperated again, it was 37 out so I bundled up, clipped an old Cohiba Robusto and poured myself a couple of snootfuls of Angels Envy Bourbon (really nice) and nubbed the cigar and dusted that drink...

A good night to all of you. Now tomorrow is a goof off day. I plan on sleeping in and then playing guitar in the living room with the brown Fuchs ODS 20, that will be my treat for being such a trooper today...

God Bless Fellas, thanks for all the good wishes and jokes about my food. It's all good fun... Joe I hope you enjoy the Fannie May...

She’s gorgeous! A good blonde is mesmerizing and yours is awesome. The other guitarist in a band I was in many years ago had one similar and I never stopped being amazed at the beautiful sounds he made with it. Of all the guitarists and gear I’ve been fortunate to cross paths with, he and his guitar are the ones I look back on with the most awe. Seriously. Amazing score, Big. Glad she plays nice and sweet. Thanks for sharing and enjoy!

I must say, never in my life have I tasted a bourbon or cognac, nor smoked a cigar. But now I'm curious.
