    The CME warranty is for three days. It allows you to set up the guitar and fully inspect it. I'm good with that.

    Once I was out of town when one of the Gibsons arrived. I'm confident that they would have accepted the guitar in return at five days if I had explained I just opened the box. They are pretty good with customer relations.

    Thank you for that. I stupidly thought that CME were giving a warranty that would cover what a Gibson warranty would cover.

    Hmmm... I had not noticed that before you mentioned it. This must for some reason maybe by design? I guess that explains my darker color body and dark mahogany neck. I expected the lighter color body and neck but was surprised at both which like you I prefer.

    My Eastman T486 is white / natural with a stark white maple neck, it plays beautifully but looks like an albino with the ebony FB which looks like a middle finger sticking out :-)
