    You have a good one!

I replied to your blog that it's actually quite rare: only 434 ES-125s were made in 1964 and 1965 was very the last year they were made. At least that's what my Duchossoir book says.

I love the sound of my 125 thru my Twin and Blues Deluxe amps. A a Princeton or indeed a Deluxe Reverb would be a good investment. Martijn uses a Hot Rod Deville but he puts a rather cheap Zoom G2 pedal in front of it (I don't know what he uses that for).

And last Sunday I did a jam session on my AER Alpha, I plugged straight into that and only used the onboard reverb. The sound was rather perfect (we had no drummer and the room was a theatre with good acoustics and a very quiet audience).

But one of my other favorites nowadays is my Award Session BluesBaby. I have the 22 watts version (as loud and as much headroom as a Deluxe Reverb) but they also make a 45 watts version nowadays. I'm pretty enthusiastic about that amp!

Here is how my BluesBaby sounds with my ES-125:

Hiya Dutch -- that was a beautiful rendition. Loved the tone and your sensitive playing.

I had no idea. Thanks. So the info in my Blog is wrong? I actually found a source that stated that the 125 was produced until 1970. Or was that the 125t?

    Regards,

Just like to say Dutchbopper I always enjoy your posts and playing. You are the real deal without a bunch posturing or theatrics (both in your playing and discussions here on the forum). That said I may have to steal some your licks off this video if you don't mind!

Guitarhq.com states it was produced until 1970 indeed. That's probably correct, the Duchossoir book just describes the period until '65 and stops there, didn't realize that.

Very nice guitar sound and excellent playing! Would like to know your 125 string brand and gauges. Again, thanks for sharing.

You don't know "Angel Eyes." ??? That's one of the most beautiful blues tunes ever ....

And once you learn that tune, the changes work for this:

Footlight Parade - Shanghai Lil (1933) - video Dailymotion

Or quote the melody in your solo.

MTV 1933 (actually, nothing on MTV was this good).
