Another D'Addario NS Micro Soundhole Tuner fan here. I have them installed in all of my acoustic guitars and on my Eastman ElRey4. The battery lasts a long time. Where the sound hole or f-hole isn't large enough, I use a Peterson Clip on. For board use or for setting intonation I use a Turbo Tuner 200

No, but if you lose the little insulating pads, it may wind up leaving a nice little dent in the head finish :-)
