When I use my Raezer's Edge 12" cab, my cat rubs her face in the ports and lays right in front of it for a while. Then she rubs her face on the speaker grill. Silly cat. I'm laughing so hard it's tough to practice.

As a dog person, I just don't trust cats.

I had 5 cats at one time and all of them would Scapa when I started to learn to play jazz.

When I switched to flatwounds on a hollow bodied guitar and improved most of them would stay around.

Cats are the most self centred cold hearted critics I have met (and I have met some right sh#ts in the past).

You may want to try one of the Audio Spectrum Analyzers they make for PC's...
Then you can turn on your amp and see where the problem is, Likely a high-pitched
oscillation from the tube amp too high for human ears to detect but ear-spllitingly
    painful for the pooch...

When I was in college I was renting a drop action piano and I had it set up perpendicular to the wall so the soundboard wasn't muffled. Whenever I was practicing solo or jamming with a bass and drummer, my golden retriever would lay up against the soundboard the whole time. He was a great dog. I dressed him up in a scarf, sunglasses and beret and put a lit cigarette on the edge of the music tray and stood him at the piano with his paws on the keyboard and took some photos (hey, it was the 70's and after a jam it seemed like a funny idea, if you get my drift). That beautiful dog put up with all kinds of loving abuse.

My mutt only barks when he sees a guitar loaded with dog ear P90s. He's cool with the Snarling Dogs wah wah pedal.
