Thanks to everybody for the kind words.
I can't wait for being back home and play her ! Very inspiring !
I appreciate all the signatures on the label. It's fantastic to know all these nice guys put their hands on that guitar and contributed to build such a piece of art.
Now, I have to learn to play for real !!!

Beautiful instrument, I agree on Heritage burst being among the best and their almond burst is simply gorgeous

It's supposed to be the original pick-up, that is "Heritage #3".

I will check that at next strings change, which probably will not happen very soon as the set of TI seems very fresh.

Is that a Peavey Classic 50 behind that gorgeous Heritage? Great amp, great guitar - bet they sound sweet together!

Nice, I own several Heritages but no Sweet 16's.

I have looked at my Heritages for so long that when I decided to buy a Gibson ES175 I wasn't sure if I could stand the look of its head stock.

    PS,
You don't have to "learn to play it for real" you just need to buy some more.

Yes, that's my Peavey Classic 50 with 4x10 speakers ...

The Classics are great amps ... and I have a US made Peavey Cirrus bass that is also excellent .... so they have done some things right over the years

I'm more fond of the Peavey with my strats and other solid bodies ... but I'll have to plug in the Sweet 16 and give it a try with the Peavey ... it's been a while and the 4x10 is rather heavy so it doesn't get used on jazz gigs

My floating pickups guitars don't match up well with just any amp IMHO .... but when you find the right amp they sound pretty good

Very happy for you, 339. That looks a beauty, and I love the info on the label. Many happy years together!

Beautiful guitar! I personally like the Heritage bound headstock--very classy looking.

I'm not so fond of the non-bound headstock, but then I don't like the non-bound Gibson headstock much either.

It's a good thing I came along and noticed this when I did. The guitar is horrendous and terrible. Here's how we can fix that problem without too much trouble. Put the guitar in the case and place the whole thing into a big cardboard box. Send the guitar to me in Kentucky. I'll take it off your hands and dispose of it correctly. Man, are you lucky I came across this when I did. I'm saving you a whole lot of embarrassment and agony. LOL.

    339 June,
Congrats . The back is spectacular - one of the best looking sweet 16's I've seen . The signatures on the label are terrific - and always seem to add some historical significance to a guitar . Wishing you many hours of playing enjoyment .
