yeah, i did pad it a little be he wanted it for $200 less than what I had it listed for.

The times I've sold things in Craigslist, I've always worked out the pricing before meeting and have not had anyone try to lowball me in person. But, yeah, you generally have to ask for more than you'll ultimately accept. There's something about the psychology of craigslist buyers that stops them from ever saying yes to an asking price. [I've only sold one guitar on CL, but a but a bunch of other gear].
