Looking for a decent reverb pedal recommendation circa 100€ mostly for Room or occasionally Spring settings but not too cluttered. Analog.

    All suggestions greatly appreciated

What do you mean by analog? All reverb pedals will be DSP, I believe.

Subdecay Spring Theory V1 is perfect for what you're asking.

People seem to like the TC electronics Hall of Fame. And the Hall of Fame mini. The latter is $100.

I haven't tried them, but the demos sound great.

sole mate is very bright on the "dry" side. It's buffer adds a lot of treble. The tone control doesn't effect this so you're stuck with a lot of brightness.

If you like spring reverb, there isn't much to beat a second-hand Fender reissue reverb unit. Big, clunky...but luscious reverb. The 1990s units go for about $450 second-hand. That's better than about $3,500 for a 60s original unit for something that does the same thing. Did Fender nail it with the reissue? Well...they got about 95% or so there...no kidding.

If you want to spend less and want pedal convenience, try the Holy Grail or the Boss '63 FRV-1 Fender Reverb Pedal. These sell for about $100-$125 (used for the Boss at that price). They sound pretty darned good, to me.

I use a Fender Reverb Unit that I built for myself, personally. I am just wedded to the old, spring reverb sound. One more small-amp-sized box to lug around, but the sound is tremendous.

Nearest to analog are propably the reverb pedals that leave Your straight signal untouched. At least TC Electronics HOF Mini, Rockett Pedals Boing (way over 100$) and Hermida Reverb (nowadays at the Lovepedal legacy) are like this, maybe others too.

I just bought a HOF Mini for my Tweedish Clone. Amazing size, amazing price and amazing sounds – just not a good spring reverb. But I don't care, the Plate and the Hall are ok for me.

All these three are one knob pedals which I like. HOF is most versatile, You can change the type of the reverb with Your computer thru an USB connection.

(I installed the HOF inside the tweed combo with 1Spot power supply and an extension cord. Now I just connect the xtension cord to the wall and the amp & the reverb are powered!)

    Good luck in reverb hunt!

Not technically a pedal, but I just keep an old nanoverb around. It has dual inputs and outputs, which can come in handy sometimes (poor man's mixer), has volume for in and out (ie, a bit of clean boost if you need it), and is just the right size to stick under the front edge of your amp (to tip your amp). Has other effects, too. Not what you want if you are a surf music afficianado (love the tone control on the fender tanks), but will give you the touch of reverb or echo most players need. Also, no batteries to screw around with.

If you really want a spring type reverb, I'd probably avoid the TC Electronics pedals. I have one and really like it but the spring option is probably its weakest voice.

Some great ideas there guys and thanks to all. The only thing is ( and sorry about the analog ref. need to do my homework first ) I find almost all of the products over-specced for my needs. Most of the time I back of reverb until it is 'only just evident' but at the same time would not want to be without it. I also favour Room settings most of the time and the occasionally Hall. I think Doc Dosco invested in a TC HOF and wonder if he has a view of it by now. Come in Doc!

I would really like a simple product that gave me a subtle delay and reverb mix just to add some spaciousness/ambience but I gather that no current pedal offers that?

Thanks again for all valued input.

I believe there are a bunch that offer delay and reverb on a single pedal. I know that Keeley makes one. Boss has made one for decades.

I put this in my rack in the 1980s and it is still my favorite. Fostex Spring Reverb. Compared to modern gear it is noisy, but when the red lights go on when you are not looking (clipping) it is fine; no digital distortion. So good for recording solo when you can't be watching everything,

one of the most well regarded new pedals for a a spring sound only, is the catalinbread topanga...its made to emulate the fender spring unit sound..and it does pretty darned well...got premier guitars editors pick

?Spring-Reverb? Pedal Review Roundup | Premier Guitar

if you want various reverbs in one pedal ie room, hall, spring, etc, its hard to beat tc for small sized budget $$$ pedal

more money not issue. look at the strymon blue sky..top quality reverbs

    cheers

Sounds like you're describing the Dispatch Master by Earthquaker Devices.

One of my favorite reverb pedals is the mad professor silver spring, which impresses in exactly that way. It's reverb only, not delay, but sounds to me almost exactly like my other current favorite pedal - Catalinbread Topanga (at 18 volts) - combined with the Skreddy echo delay. I keep the delay setting quite subtle; those two pedals add up to reverb plus a little extra atmosphere. And that's the sound I hear in the MP silver spring. Really nice effect.

i would have went with a keeley aurora if it had spring. i have and adore a dr scientist but it also lacks spring, favorite reverb though it may be. so in this case, i'd suggest a digitech polara, or an older hardwire rv7 if you want to save some cash. it does more than you need it to, but spring is one of its strengths. it halls and rooms, too.

one of the coolest things about the dispatch master is how it sits behind your sound. it doesn't swallow it up like most reverbs.

for durability/customer service reasons, i'd lean away from tc electronic or ehx, but that's me. they holy grail neo would have been a consideration otherwise, but i don't know if they have updated their algorithms. the digitech just sounded better than another ehx i compared it to.

Buy a used Fender tube amp. Free amp and speakers with the reverb and vibrato... Done :-)

Don't know if it's fallen from popularity but the Neunaber Wet is a solid option and doesn't touch the dry signal.

I had a Dispatch Master and found the reverb too ambient, there are better options out there for delay and reverb, imo of course. But it's a great pedal!

They just released the Avalanche Run, I would love to get one, sort of a DM 2.0
