I have owned both SS-15 and Jimmy Bruno. They are very similar in amplified sound. The Bruno has a little deeper body and 1 11/16” nut. SS-15 has 1 3/4”.
Both feature flawless construction, great feeling medium depth necks, and a better acoustic sound than the GB-10s I’ve played. They are lightweight.
On the SS-15, the brown finish is applied over the white binding on the body which is dumb because it defeats the protective purpose of the binding.
Tone-wise, the Sadowskys sound like a great full-size jazz guitar when plugged in. Traditional classic jazz tone.
I think the GB-10 might be more versatile in terms of getting different tones.

Leaving the finish over the binding is a Jim Hall thing that he did with the D'Aquisto. He saw the guitar finished but before the binding was scraped and he asked to leave it as it was.
I've never played the Sadowsky but I've played with a guy who had one and it sounded really, really nice through a DVM Little Jazz and also a Jazz. I have had a 1981 GB10 for over 30 years and, as I have stated on the forum many times, it is the one guitar I would keep if you came into my house and forced me to give up all but one. Playability, comfort, tonal options- it has it all. It was my first electric guitar, in fact, and I often wonder why I've bothered to buy the other ones (except we all know why
).
