    Your tone is gorgeous, awesome.

That's a great piece of movie. Thanks for sharing. That's exactly the double CC model Alvino is playing here, you can see the guitar in the close-up view at 3:33.

As for the talkin' guitar, well, Daniel is obviously able to build any guitar from this era. You should ask him if he can do this.

    Great, great

Here is the beast. Picture is a exerpt of 'Vintage Vertigo' a nice publication of about vintage guitars published here in France. Actually the picture was taken by Lynn Wheelwright.

Daniel told me he will move a little the bridge PU to the neck, so that the sound gets less aggressive. Should be one of a kind guitar.

Daniel did a 2010 DS-155 with 2 CC pickups. I'm surprised he's making another one like that in DS-250 form.

    gorgeous Slaman there
I had the chance to try out a real ES 250 a few months ago in Paris. The amplified sound was just amazing and made a lasting impression to me.
    wow impressed !!

I've never met anyone who's seen one ....
    let alone played one !

and you're saying you actually prefer the Slaman to that Es250 ??

Nice to know that the 250 style cc pickup
can be balanced string to string effectively

I wonder why Slayman/Metheny went for
the cc pickup with the screws on the
Sisterhood guitars when he could have used
    an es250 type cc pickup
easier to adjust I guess ??

Daniel told me that Pat explicitly asked for a CC pickup that was "more balanced" or something to that effect. And it gave Daniel and his component/hardware maker Dirk an opportunity to develop the adjustable version.

    understood .... but
isn't the es250 cc pickup type adjustable ?

for some reason, the orig ES-250 p.u.'s w/non adjustable individual blades are very balanced, unlike many of the orig 150 p.u.'s which tend to have a hot B string [hence the notched B on the last 150 CC variation]

Great clips! Slaman's tribute to the ES-250 looks to be a solid winner. The tone (and your playing) are inspiring.

Pat Metheny's "Sister" model guitar has an original design Slaman p/up with individually adjustable screw polepieces, whereas the traditional Gibson ES-250 pickup with the serrated blade polepiece is only adjustable via the 3 point mount.

Yes, the guitar was originaly mounted with D'addario 12-52 roundwound by Daniel. I must say that they also go very well, with more punch and brightness. I might go back to them depending on the project I will use the guitar with.

    Cheers.

I was after her for a possible acquisition, but I was just the second guy on the list, and the first did the transaction...I must say that going for the Slaman model is certainly a better choice, as far as music only is concerned.

Here is a photo of the ES 250 I tried in Paris.

    Enjoy !

Yes as for the DS 250 model Daniel has already adjusted the polepieces so that they give a perfect balance for a 12-52 gauge.

    ES-250 = Holy Grail

You are the only person I have had contact who had played one. Awesome!

I have lots of miles behind the wheel of the 30s ES-150, but never a 250.

(sound of jaw dropping to floor)

    Here you are

She was incredibly clean, and yes, the shop was asking for quite a lot...As you can see, the maple sides are absolutely gorgeous, much more than the back, to me at least. By the way, a big thank to my wife who has shot the pictures !

I think this picture shows it all. It is taken from Daniel's website.

It is a single blade but each string has its compensated height. Highest string on your right.
