Too heavy for me, I sold mine. (AR300 from 82)

They say the China models are less heavy but I can't find any data. Anybody had/played one hands on?

Holà, I have a Chinese AR420 VLS which is very well built.
It is substantially lighter than the new 2619 prestige and your AR300, but it has a strong tendency to neck-dive - quite tiring after 30 minutes when you have to keep holding the neck up with your playing hand. A broad suede strap helps but does not eliminate the problem. Sitting down it's a dream to play . At 500 Euros it is not in the same league as the 2616 prestige but is probably one of the best value for money instruments I've ever bought
