Best Guitar Polish for Removing Smudges/Grime?

personally I much prefer yellowed over white.

really not much you can do with a topical polish or cleaner...its the particular "plastic" binding reacting with the glue and the finish..some binding yellows very quickly. and others hold up...but it's really down to chemistry more than preservation

I never dreamed anyone would WANT the binding to STAY white. Maybe toothpaste?

When I got my D'Aquisto Excel in mid 1985, Jimmy used lemon Pledge to polish his guitars. He swore by it and thats what I used with no issues. I have to assume he knew what he was doing/talking about.

He said the same thing to me.
